You may find me driving the southern hills of Illinois and Missouri on a wine tasting trip. You may find me watching our own St. Louis Cardinals at Busch Stadium or dining at one of my favorite restaurants. I love to camp and float down a clear river in southern Missouri. You may also find me roaming the streets of Rome, Venice, Prague, London, Paris, Edinburgh, or Munich.

6. What do you love most about your hometown (besides our arrival)?

St. Louis is a small city with a hometown flavor. It has many of the attributes of a big city but it is not uncommon for someone to greet you with a wave and a hello. It has one of the best zoos in the nation and also boasts many fine dining, sports and attractions. Visiting the City Museum, Gateway Arch, The Fabulous Fox Theatre, and Forest Park are all musts.

7. What should we bring when we visit? What should we leave with?

You will need to bring clothing that will accommodate all types of climates. The saying goes: “If you don’t like the St Louis weather, wait ten minutes.” Bring a good appetite—the Italian restaurants on the “Hill” are awesome.

8. What do we absolutely have to see while we’re there?

Gateway Arch, the loft district on 10th and Washington, Soulard district; Forest Park, Delmar Loop, a Cardinals game, and the Central West End.

9. Any areas of town we should avoid?

The North side and East St. Louis Illinois.
