Visionary Diva Questions:

1. What was the best decision you made in your life?
Starting my own business.

2. What is your most memorable travel moment?
Walking out onto the gardens of Versailles just as the French symphony started playing and the fountains began to spray. It was such a surreal moment that I’ll never forget.

3. What was the worst travel experience you had?
It’s tough because I haven’t had many. But, I’d have to say when I was in Paris and a drunk, Moroccan man followed me from my hotel. I noticed him following me so I crossed many streets and thought I had lost him when I dove into a restaurant. Once inside I sat down and he came in and sat down right at my table and wouldn’t move. So I moved to another table and he followed me. Finally the owner took me in the back down some stairs (yikes) to get me away from him and they called the police to remove him. I sat there for 10 minutes until the man left.

4. What have you learned about yourself through traveling?
The surge of independence, pride and adventure that emerges while I’m traveling about. I’ve learned that I am quite competent to get through most situations good or bad and still enjoy and appreciate the journey I’ve taken. I’m incredibly accepting and intrigued by most cultures and I take that home with me. I’m the happiest when I’m traveling the world; it moves me more than anything!

5. If you could choose your ultimate travel companion, living or dead, real or imaginary, who would it be?
A close friend/companion that can go with the flow and absorb most travel experience with excitement, enthusiasm, ease and flexibility. Someone who loves adventure and spontaneity.

6. What moment in your life did you feel the most alive?
When I’m creating.

7. If money and time were no object, where on earth would you go?
French Polynesian Islands

8. Who is your hero?
His Holiness The Dalai Lama

9. Name a place in the world that you know a lot about and would make a great resource for our Divas. Tell us about it.
Capri, Italy

Just breathtaking.

Capri is the “other” charming gem along the Amalfi Coast that swept me in and left me wanting more. You can do everything from lie on the private beach, which is rather small, or take a beautiful walk along the Tragara passage to Faraglioni. The path is elegantly lined with beautiful villas and ends up with an amazing view facing the Faraglioni—one of the most famous views in Capri.

It was said that in the middle of 19th century, the Valley of Tragara leading to Faraglioni was wholly planted with olive trees and vineyards, mostly property of Chartusian monks. You can also take a quick jaunt over to the Blue Grotto (hee hee) from the port of Marina Grande. It’s quite breathtaking! But remember, because you are taking narrow passages in a little row boat, lying are your back, you can only go on sunny days when the weather permits.

Shopping along the narrow streets and hidden alleyways of Capri and Ana Capri is wonderful. There are many small boutiques and craftsmen’s workshops where you can acquire the best of both Italian and local products. During and after your shopping extravaganza it’s so much fun to sit in the plaza and sip on some limoncelo and people watch.

My favorite restaurant on Capri, hands down, is Da Paolino where you dine with the city's finest, in one of the most beautiful setting imaginable—a wonderful lemon garden in the Palazzo a Mare area. It’s absolutely fantastico. The food is divine, the service is impeccable and the people are beautiful. And, you should see the dessert tray! It’s out of this world!!

The best most famous nightspot on Capri is a must see!!! ANEMA E CORE is in the heart of Capri. And comes alive at night. People lose themselves by dancing on tables, playing the tambourines and dancing to oblivion.

After hours, the night belongs to this amazing nightspot's owner, undisputed ruler of Capri, Guido, "an authentic wizard who reigns supreme over the island from midnight until the first rays of sun illuminate her shores.” He’s the Sinatra of Capri.

10. And finally a word from our Featured Diva, you in your own words—give us a stirring, Diva-worthy battle cry for women everywhere to hear!
Dig deep within and you’ll be amazed at the courage, beauty and self expression that lies just under the surface waiting to be exposed. Follow your bliss.
