Book Review Learning is Easy with Speak E-Z Chinese!
By Matthew Goldberg

The revolutionary book, Speak E-Z Chinese, definitely does its job of teaching a tough language in a fun and realistic manner. Within about 30 minutes of reading you can learn all the basics to hit the ground running in China.

The book in essense has a two part approach—explain the basics such as pronunciation and sentence structure, and then provide tons of phrases. The prononciation section is short and to the point and does a great job of simplyfying the difficult Chinese pronunciation and sounds. The pronunciation lessons can then be supplemented with audio lessons on the website.

The phrases in the rest of the book provide what seems like every conceivable line or question any traveler would need. These phrases range from asking for a good restaurant to asking if someone has a condom!

The tourist attractions are all listed in their phonetic Chinese so any tourist can easily look like they are making an effort to get to know the language. The end of the book also has a highly useful list of the most frequently used vocabulary words.

If your goal is to get up to speed on basic Chinese as fast as possible, Speak E-Z Chinese is perfect.
