 All Hail Anna Alioto!

Woman of the Year: it sounds like big shoes to fill, but Anna Alioto hasn’t passed up a good pair yet.
Across the nation every year, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society chapters engage in this high-profile fundraising program, which started in the Bay Area over ten years ago. And from this notable hub comes Anna Alioto’s exciting nomination.
Tango Diva is proud to support her. We know that her dedication and wide array of supporters will enable her to raise substantial donations towards the treatment and cure of blood cancers.
Our Diva Anna is no stranger to public work. The third generation of an old San Francisco family, service is as much in her blood as the tales of the original Sicilian fishing community from whose humble origins her family rose.
Today Anna spreads her own nets, linking friends and associates across the vast social seas of San Francisco and beyond. When a close friend began her battle with lymphoma, Anna realized that she’d need special bait to tackle this problem. Setting her mind to the catch, she vigorously dedicated herself to the Foundation begun by her suffering friend. Although the woman eventually succumbed, Anna’s faith did not. Enter Woman of the Year.
Disease may be a sobering backdrop, but the bid for Woman of the Year is an exciting time when candidates truly shine. The nominees and their committees dream up rich and varied charitable events from the kickoff in March through the Grand Finale in June. From lavish evenings at Neiman Marcus to yoga classes South of Market, Anna Alioto will doubtless reel in boundless support. And Tango Diva will be there every step of the way to help!
