50 Haute Hotels for Her
By Teresa Williamson

Welcome to the 2007 Top 50 Haute Hotels for Women issue.

The Tango Diva team researched hundreds of hotels around the world to find the top choices for women travelers. To make the Top 50 List, these hotels had to have a few special features. These included:

- An impeccable staff that knows how to treat a girl right
- Ideal locations that are safe and in great parts of town
- Fabulous rooms with thoughtful amenities
- Chic and trendy restaurants or bars located in the hotel or near by
- Attention to details including top-of-the-line bath products
- Special packages created especially for women.

Creating a mammoth guide like this takes months of work, lots of room service, and a dedicated team who is willing to do the research and jet from one hotel to another to find the best spots for our readers. We relied on our members, who sent in their favorites, our absolutely amazing interns Lucy Keir, Megan Whiteaker, Abbey Laufenberger, Ashley Somers, Kamila Teplicki and Melanie Hutchinson along with two brilliant editors who painstakingly read through hundreds of reviews.

The final 50 were hard to choose, because hotels are so diverse, and we all want and get different experiences from our visits. So many fabulous hotels did not make the cut, and you can blame me for that—I had the final word.

This was out first attempt of putting a guide together like this, so if you have a property that you think will be perfect for our next issue, please let us know.

Our Haute Hotel Editors

About Cindy: Cindy knew she would catch the travel bug once she stepped into the hot, trendy streets of Madrid the summer of her junior year, where she purposely delayed her graduation to study abroad yet again - but this time to Australia for six months. When she is not working the overnight shift at a well-known New York news channel, or planning events around Manhattan for media professionals you can find her planning her next photo project for her new found love - scrap booking.

She's a proud Jersey girl who is passionate about her Peruvian heritage; where she travels to faithfully every year to visit her family. And, be careful what you say around her because it might end up on her blog or even nuttier - as a quote for her T-shirt silk screening venture.

About Chelsea: Chelsea is a self-proclaimed singer, writer, food network junkie, recovering Britney Spears addict and hummus connoisseur. She caught "the bug" after briefly traveling around Europe with a dance company and has spent the last five years obsessing over all things European.

After attending Musicians Institute in Hollywood she decided to stay in California and keep to the grind of the L.A. lifestyle, and daily considers moving back to lovely Colorado or New York, Seattle, San Francisco.

For my favorites, I do have a few that I consider the best in the world - for me and my taste. Click here and read about my great eight and why I love them so much.
