Enjoyed reading your list, and share much of it. I've been to the Derby--something I wish every American could experience at least once (and I'm NOT talking the infield). When the finest 3 year olds in the world step out on the track to over 100 thousand people singing--wow! What a moment. Agree, too, about the Iditarod. It's all about try.....
